Yes, I found myself semi-drunk on a toilet in a certain venue around Dublin on a Saturday night and I happened to carry my camera when I noticed the walls of the toilet stall.
As a kid we all learn that it is a bad thing to write on walls that are not yours (including your mom’s walls I believe) but these women decided to keep a diary on the wall here. I’m really not sure why?
I was a little bored yesterday. So I got a black garbage bag and put some glasses in sink. See here the result! Someday I’ll set up a proper installation with good lighting so I can increase the shutter speed some more :)
I recently discovered that Ireland every now and then does look like a real tropical Island. Along the west coast there are a few beautiful white beaches with turquoise, Chrystal clear, blue water. Sadly the temperatures didn’t really match my ideal of spending some time there ( Enjoying the warm sun, cocktail in hand) but that meant I could put some energy in taking photographs :)
Some flowers to celebrate my mom’s 50th birthday today! My mom loves taking pictures. I have vivid memories of her carrying a video- and photo camera on family holidays while trying to organize the route. Thanks to her I have photo’s of every significant, and even more important, of so many less significant moments in my life.
I love the smell of rain. Specially when I am out for a walk like I was when I took these pictures. We left Dublin that weekend without any set plans but with the idea to go and see something of Ireland. On Sunday we were close to Athlone and walking around a big lake after the rain finally stopped.
It’s amazing how beautiful a raindrop can look on a flower!
